Team members collaborate with diverse clients and projects, contributing to durable, high-performance solutions for construction and industrial applications.Role DescriptionMatex is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to support the Accounts Manager in overseeing the company's day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting.The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and UAE tax regulations, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate financial reports and support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.Maintain the general ledger and perform account reconciliations.Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance.Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis.Prepare VAT and Corporate Tax documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.Ensure accurate inventory and financial reconciliation in coordination with Warehouse and Operations.Maintain financial records within the ERP system and recommend process improvements.Support the Finance Manager with financial reporting, analysis, and ad hoc projects.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.Experience with VAT, UAE Corporate Tax, and IFRS/GAAP principles.Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.Preferred SkillsExperience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors.Knowledge of inventory accounting and cost accounting.Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance.Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.What We OfferOpportunity to join a growing and innovative manufacturing company.Exposure to all aspects of finance and accounting within a manufacturing environment.Professional development and career growth opportunities.A collaborative and supportive working environment.
