Senior Accountant

one of our Business Unit is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage the company's financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, treasury, inventory valuation, cost accounting, and statutory compliance activities while ensuring accurate financial records and effective financial controls within a manufacturing environment.Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany accounts, and general ledger balances.Prepare management reports and financial analysis for senior management.Monitor raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory.Ensure accurate inventory valuation and stock reconciliations.Analyze manufacturing costs, wastage, recovery yields, and variances.Oversee supplier payments and accounts payable processes.Monitor customer receivables and follow up on overdue balances.Review payment schedules and cash flow forecasts.Ensure timely processing of invoices, credit notes, and collections.Monitor departmental expenditures against approved budgets.Analyze variances and provide recommendations for cost optimization.Support management in strategic financial decision-making.Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and applicable financial reporting standards.Coordinate with external auditors and facilitate annual audits.Monitor daily cash positions and banking transactions.Prepare cash flow forecasts and funding requirements.Manage bank reconciliations and banking relationships.Support treasury operations and payment approvals.Ensure segregation of duties and compliance with internal approval authorities.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field.Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent is preferred.ExperienceMinimum 5–8 years of accounting experience.Experience in manufacturing, industrial, precious stones, or production-based industries is highly preferred.
