About PrijemsFounded in 1985, Prijems is an established wholesale manufacturer and supplier of diamonds and gemstones, specializing in unique and custom-manufactured diamonds for jewelry designers, manufacturers, and wholesale clients.About the RolePrijems is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations. This is a hands-on position for someone with a strong accounting background who can work independently and take ownership of their responsibilities with minimal guidance.Strong proficiency in QuickBooks is required. Candidates should be highly comfortable navigating and managing accounting functions within QuickBooks without software training.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day accounting and maintain accurate financial recordsOversee accounts payable and accounts receivablePerform bank and credit card reconciliationsMaintain the general ledger and prepare journal entriesSupport month-end and year-end closePrepare financial statements and management reportsAssist with inventory accounting and reconciliationsIdentify and resolve accounting discrepanciesCoordinate with management, CPA, tax professionals, and other outside partiesHelp improve accounting processes and internal controlsQualificationsSeveral years of hands-on professional accounting experienceAdvanced proficiency in QuickBooks – requiredStrong knowledge of general ledger accounting, AP/AR, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reportingAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferredPreferred ExperienceExperience in the diamond, gemstone, jewelry, wholesale, or manufacturing industryInventory accounting or product costing experiencePrevious supervisory or managerial accounting experienceWe are looking for an experienced accounting professional who can contribute from day one. Industry experience is a plus, but strong accounting knowledge and advanced QuickBooks proficiency are our top priorities.
