The role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Hong Kong statutory and tax requirements, coordinating month-end and year-end closing activities, and supporting audits and group reporting.Scope of Responsibility:General Ledger & AccountingMonth-end & Year-end CloseIntercompany accountingBalance Sheet integrityAudit (internal & external)Operational Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain the accounting records for the Group's Hong Kong parent entities, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and supported.Perform and review daily accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations where applicable.Oversee and supervise the intercompany reconciliations process, and confirmations, ensuring balances are accurate and discrepancies are resolved on a timely basis.Coordinate and monitor intercompany funding, loans, recharge arrangements, and other related transactions in accordance with Group policies.Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accounting records are complete and accurate within established deadlines.Maintain fixed asset registers, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other balance sheet schedules.Support the preparation of statutory accounting records and schedules required for annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.Ensure compliance with Hong Kong accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory filing requirements.Maintain organized accounting documentation and ensure all supporting records are properly filed and retained.Provide guidance and support to junior accounting team members, promoting best practices and consistent accounting procedures.Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiency.Act as a key finance contact for internal stakeholders, auditors, and external advisors on accounting-related matters.The RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA qualification.2–3 years with a Big Four or reputable second-tier accounting firm (Audit or Assurance).2–3 years in a corporate finance or accounting role.Experience with Hong Kong entities or multinational companies is an advantage.Experience with ERP systemsAdvanced Excel skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to manage multiple legal entities simultaneously.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to work independently while collaborating across international teams.High level of integrity and confidentiality.Continuous improvement mindset.
