Senior Accountant

A leading agriculture company is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations, financial reporting, cost analysis, and month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial records, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide financial insights to support business decisions.Job Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Handle month-end and year-end closing activities. Monitor and analyze agricultural production costs, including labor, fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, irrigation, and other farm-related expenses. Prepare cost analysis and variance reports for different farms/crops. Monitor inventory movements and conduct regular inventory reconciliations and physical counts. Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and depreciation. Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow planning. Ensure compliance with Egyptian accounting standards and tax regulations. Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide the required supporting documents. Review accounting transactions and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. Supervise junior accountants and review their work. Provide financial analysis and insights to management to support business decisions. Ensure accurate and timely recording of all agricultural and operational transactionsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. 4-7 years of accounting experience, preferably within agriculture, farming, food production, or FMCG. Strong knowledge of General Ledger, AP, AR, and financial reporting. Good understanding of cost accounting and inventory management. Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel. Good knowledge of Egyptian taxation and accounting standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Agriculture/farming industry experience is highly preferred
