Senior Accountant

A high-growth, well-funded technology company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants broad exposure, meaningful ownership, and the chance to help build scalable processes within a fast-paced company.About the RoleThe Senior Accountant will report to finance leadership and play a key role in the month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and ongoing improvement of accounting processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and excited to work in an entrepreneurial environment where priorities can evolve quickly.ResponsibilitiesOwn key aspects of the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysisPrepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedulesAssist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reportingSupport accounts payable, expense reporting, payroll, revenue, and other accounting processes as neededPartner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment and timely financial informationAssist with annual audit, tax, and compliance-related requestsHelp develop and improve accounting policies, internal controls, processes, and documentationIdentify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve the use of systems and technologySupport special projects as the company continues to scale QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA or progress toward CPA preferred3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public accounting and/or experience with a high-growth or technology companyStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principlesExperience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reportingStrong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP or accounting systemsDetail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and a collaborative approach Required SkillsStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles, experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting, strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP or accounting systems.Preferred SkillsCPA or progress toward CPA preferred, 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public accounting and/or experience with a high-growth or technology company.
