Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller, you will oversee the full spectrum of accounts for the Singapore entities. This role is also responsible to all tax filing work including GST and withholding taxes. Being a key member of the finance team, you will provide support on the technical accounting/tax research in existing and new territories of the business and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures including internal control practices.ResponsibilitiesHave expert knowledge to carry out day-to-day operational tasks relating to Accounts Receivables (as assigned) including but not limited to, ensuring billings are timely and accurate, follow up regularly with debtors and help in collections within the credit periods extended, matters relating to foreign source income withholding tax and provide support to Sales team.Work closely with the Senior Financial Controller to ensure compliance with accounting standards, Group accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting requirementsAlign and implement according to the group reporting framework, accounting treatment and financial analysis for the business as well as operations.Monitor and review revenue recognition, ensuring billings are timely and accurate, and reconcile revenue against deal memos, executed contracts, and sub-ledger reportsPartner with Sales and other business stakeholders to resolve billing, revenue, and other financial mattersResponsible for cash management such as preparing weekly cash flow reports, perform bank reconciliations, and coordinate intercompany settlementsResponsible for month end close process by ensuring journal entries are entered timely, reconciliations are performed, sub-ledgers are balanced, and foreign currency revaluation are accountedLiaise with external tax agents and prepare supporting schedules for corporate income tax and other tax compliance requirementsSupport all audit related matters including preparation of audit schedules, attend to audit queries, provide information required and timely preparation of first draft of financial statements and Group financial reporting packageProvide support for submission of reports to Reporting Head/s, Management, Holding Companies, Group headquarters or external stakeholders (auditors, tax agent, bankers and/or other regulatory bodies)Adhere to accounting and financial procedures, systems and compliance with accounting standards and financial policiesAlign and implement according to the group reporting framework, accounting treatment and financial analysis for the business as well as operationsIdentify opportunities to strengthen financial controls, improve accounting processes, and enhance reporting efficiency through automation and system improvementsUndertake ad hoc projects and responsibilities as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and possess professional certification (CPA)Qualified accounting/finance professional with at least 8-10 years of experienceStrong technical knowledge of international accounting standardsHands-on experience in corporate tax, withholding tax and GST filingExperience in the streaming, media, entertainment, or broadcasting industries is preferredExperience working with ERP system, especially Oracle is a strong plusProject management skills and able to multi-taskExcellent interpersonal, presentation and communication (both verbal and written) skillsStrongly quantitative, highly analytical, and meticulousAbility to deliver under pressure and adept in fast-paced environmentHighly focused team player with strong values systems and solid integrity.A self-starter, self-motivated, hands-on personality with a can-do attitude and ability to handle matters maturely and independently.
