We are hiring Senior Accountant on behalf of a leading technology solutions company specializing in ELV (Extra Low Voltage) and AV (Audio Visual) systems based in Riyadh - KSA, delivering integrated technology solutions across the Middle East.Core Responsibilities:1- Accounting & Month-End Closing• Maintain accurate accounting records for the KSA entity, including GL, AP, AR, accruals, prepayments, provisions and fixed assets.• Record and review transactions in the approved ERP/accounting system with complete supporting documentation and correct account, project, cost center and tax coding.• Perform monthly bank, customer, supplier and key balance sheet reconciliations and promptly investigate outstanding items.• Prepare month-end closing schedules, reconciliations and supporting files in line with the HQ closing timetable, targeting completion within 5 working days.• Prepare the KSA trial balance, financial schedules and management reporting package for review and consolidation by Head Office.• Support IFRS-compliant accounting and Group reporting requirements, including revenue recognition and project-based accounting.• Maintain intercompany accounts and complete timely reconciliation with Head Office and other Group entities.2- Project Accounting, Billing & Margin Control• Maintain project financial records and monitor project revenue, cost, gross margin, commitments, accruals, unbilled revenue and advance balances.• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely invoicing in accordance with contractual milestones, approved progress and supporting documentation.• Maintain an invoicing plan and follow up on pending certifications, invoices, variations, claims and retention balances.• Compare actual project costs and commitments against approved budgets and promptly report material variances or expected cost overruns to HQ Finance.• Support project cash flow forecasting and cost-to-complete reviews as requested by Head Office.3- Accounts Receivable & Collection Follow-up• Maintain accurate customer ledgers, aging reports and collection status for KSA customers.• Follow up locally with customers and project teams on overdue receivables, invoice acceptance, payment certificates and disputed balances.• Provide regular AR aging, DSO and collection updates to HQ Finance and escalate material delays or credit concerns.• Support customer balance confirmations and reconciliation of disputed or unallocated receipts.4- Accounts Payable & Payment Coordination• Review supplier invoices and payment requests for accuracy, approval, contractual terms, supporting documents, VAT treatment and budget/project allocation.• Prepare payment schedules and submit complete payment requests to HQ Treasury in accordance with the Group approval matrix.• Maintain supplier reconciliations and follow up on debit notes, advances, retention, disputed invoices and long-outstanding balances.• Coordinate with procurement and project teams to monitor supplier commitments and upcoming cash requirements.5- Treasury & Banking Coordination• Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts covering expected collections, payments and project funding requirements for HQ Treasury.• Reconcile KSA bank accounts and report discrepancies or unusual items promptly.• Coordinate documentation for local banking requirements and bank facilities as instructed by HQ Treasury.• Coordinate and track LC, LG, APG, PB and other guarantee requirements, including validity, expiry, reduction and release dates.• The Senior Accountant shall not independently authorize or execute bank transfers unless specifically authorized under the approved Group delegation of authority.6. Tax & Statutory Financial Compliance – KSA• Prepare and maintain supporting records for VAT, withholding tax, Zakat/corporate tax and other applicable financial compliance requirements.• Coordinate VAT returns, WHT filings and ZATCA-related accounting matters with HQ Finance and appointed tax advisers, where applicable.• Ensure invoices and accounting records comply with applicable ZATCA requirements, including e-invoicing requirements relevant to the Company.• Maintain tax reconciliations, filing support and audit-ready documentation, and promptly escalate tax notices or compliance issues to HQ Finance.7. Budgeting, Forecasting & Management Reporting• Support preparation of the KSA annual budget, rolling forecasts and periodic financial projections in coordination with Head Office.• Prepare monthly variance analysis covering revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, project margins, collections and cash flow.• Provide financial KPIs and schedules requested by HQ Finance for management reporting and consolidation.• Identify unusual trends, accounting issues and cost-saving opportunities and communicate them to HQ Finance.8. Internal Controls, Audit & Documentation• Maintain complete, organized and audit-ready accounting records and supporting documents.• Apply Group finance policies, accounting procedures, approval limits and segregation-of-duties requirements at the KSA office.• Support internal and external audits, tax reviews and financial due diligence by preparing requested schedules and evidence.• Assist HQ Finance in reviewing financial and commercial terms of contracts, purchase orders and major commitments where requested, particularly payment terms, guarantees, retention, taxes, working capital and cash flow impact.• Report control weaknesses, unsupported transactions, overdue reconciliations or significant financial risks to Head Office. Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related field from a recognized university.Professional accounting qualifications such as CMA or equivalent is preferred.Strong working knowledge of IFRS and generally accepted accounting principles.Strong understanding of Saudi VAT, Withholding Tax, Zakat and ZATCA requirements, including applicable e-invoicing requirements.Minimum 5–7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, including at least 2 years in a Senior Accountant or similar role.Experience in project-based, contracting, systems integration, construction or similar industries is preferred.Practical experience in month-end closing, financial reporting, project accounting, revenue recognition, AR/AP, reconciliations, budgeting and cash flow forecasting.Experience coordinating with a regional or centralized Head Office finance function is an advantage.Excellent written and spoken Arabic, and English languages.Previous exposure to internal/external audits and tax compliance requirements is preferred.Strong ERP/accounting system experience; Oracle NetSuite experience is preferred.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reconciliations, financial analysis, reporting and data management.Ability to prepare and analyze project profitability, budget-versus-actual results, cost-to-complete schedules, AR aging and cash flow forecasts.Strong understanding of accounting controls, documentation requirements and segregation of duties.
