Senior Accountant

Tradition, a leading global inter-dealer broker, is hiring a Senior Accountant to join our Americas Finance Team in Lower Manhattan. This role offers broad, hands-on exposure across U.S. GAAP financial reporting, global intercompany accounting, the full close cycle, and regulatory financial services operations, a great fit for an accountant looking to build well-rounded technical and operational expertise within a global brokerage environment.Responsibilities·        Support the monthly and quarterly close process·        Prepare and post journal entries·        Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis·        Review and record intercompany transactions from global offices·        Analyze monthly management P&L results and investigate variances·        Prepare head office reporting packages·        Assist with preparation of U.S. GAAP financial statements and footnotes·        Support internal and external audit engagements·        Maintain accounting procedures and risk and internal control documentation·        Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencyRequired·        Bachelor's degree in Accounting·        2+ years of Public accounting experience·        Strong Excel skills·        Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and risk management Preferred·        CPA or active CPA candidacy·        Experience in financial services, particularly broker-dealer environments·        Experience with Oracle NetSuite·        A proactive self-starter who looks for opportunities to improve processes, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement·        Familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization toolsWhy Join Tradition·        Work within a global financial services organization at the center of the brokered markets·        Gain broad, cross-functional exposure across accounting and finance disciplines·        Build the experience needed to become a well-rounded accounting and finance professional·        Hybrid work environment in Lower Manhattan Compensation Range: $100,000–$125,000 base salary + annual bonus.
