Senior Accountant – Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaLocation: Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaIndustry: ConstructionRole OverviewWe are seeking a high-caliber Senior Accountant to join the Finance function of a leading Tier 1 contractor in Riyadh. The role will support robust financial reporting, project accounting, controls and compliance across major construction and infrastructure projects.The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in a large-scale contracting, EPC or project-based environment, with the ability to operate effectively in a demanding, highly controlled organization.Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day GL, month-end close, reconciliations, accruals and financial reporting activities.Manage project accounting and job costing, including budget vs. actual analysis, cost accruals and project profitability.Oversee accounting for subcontractors, suppliers, advances, retention, claims and variations.Review project progress billing, receivables, contract assets and revenue recognition.Ensure compliance with IFRS, ZATCA, VAT, WHT and internal accounting policies.Prepare high-quality financial schedules, management reports and variance analysis.Support cash-flow, forecasting and working-capital management.Coordinate with Project Controls, Commercial, Procurement and Operations to ensure accurate and timely financial information.Support internal and external audits and maintain a strong control and governance environment.Identify accounting and process risks and drive timely resolution.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.8–10+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a Tier 1 contractor, EPC, infrastructure or major project environment.Strong understanding of project accounting, job costing and construction finance.Solid knowledge of IFRS and Saudi tax/VAT requirements.Strong ERP experience, preferably SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities.SOCPA, ACCA, CPA or CMA qualification is highly desirable.Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
