Senior Accountant

Currently working with a well-established, multidisciplinary professional services firm in North Vancouver that is looking to add an experienced Senior Accountant to its finance team.This is a hands-on role reporting to the Controller, with responsibility across the full accounting cycle while also providing oversight and support to the broader accounting team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play an important role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting project accounting, and contributing to ongoing process improvements.The Role: Full-cycle accounting and month-end closeAccounts payable, payments and reconciliationsGeneral ledger maintenance and account reconciliationsAccruals and intercompany transactionsPayroll processing and related reconciliationsMonth-end and year-end reporting and schedulesProject billing and accounting supportAudit and year-end review supportOversight and mentorship of accounting staffSupporting ERP implementation and process improvementsThe Candidate: 5+ years of progressive accounting experienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related fieldCPA designation or progress toward CPA preferredStrong full-cycle accounting and month-end experienceExperience with ASPE financial reportingStrong Excel and ERP skillsExperience in a consulting, professional services or project-based environment is an assetStrong organizational, analytical and communication skillsThe organization offers a competitive compensation package, benefits, GRSP matching, bonus potential, professional development support, progressive vacation and a collaborative working environment.
