Senior Accountant

Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced and highly organized Senior Accountant to join our team in Dubai.The ideal candidate must have strong experience in an accounting consultancy firm and be capable of independently managing a high volume of client files and accounting assignments. This role requires someone who is confident in dealing directly with clients, conducting client meetings independently, and taking ownership of their work with minimal supervision.Job ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage a large portfolio of client files and accounting assignmentsHandle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for multiple clientsPrepare and review financial statements, reports, reconciliations and other accounting recordsManage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activitiesPrepare and assist with VAT returns and ensure compliance with applicable regulationsConduct client meetings independently and address clients' accounting-related queriesCommunicate directly with clients and maintain strong professional relationshipsReview client accounts and identify discrepancies or accounting issuesManage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlinesEnsure all client files and documentation are properly maintained and up to dateTake full ownership of assigned clients and responsibilitiesWork independently with minimal supervisionCoordinate with internal team members when requiredAssist clients with accounting and financial matters and provide practical solutions where appropriateRequirementsMinimum 5 years of experience in an accounting consultancy firm in India, ORMinimum 2 years of experience in an accounting consultancy firm in DubaiProven experience managing multiple clients and a high volume of filesAbility to independently manage client accounts from start to finishStrong ability to prioritize and manage a heavy workloadConfident in conducting client meetings independentlyExcellent client communication and relationship-management skillsAbility to work independently and take ownership of responsibilitiesStrong knowledge of accounting and bookkeepingKnowledge of VAT and accounting practices is highly preferredStrong attention to detail and ability to work under pressureGood organizational and time-management skillsQualificationsProfessional qualifications are preferred but not mandatory.Candidates with the following qualifications will have an advantage:CA InterACCAOther relevant accounting qualifications or certificationsHowever, candidates with strong and relevant accounting consultancy experience will be considered even without a professional qualification.Please note: Candidates without relevant accounting consultancy firm experience will not be considered.
