This position is responsible for managing general ledger activities, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and account balances, processing journal entries, and monitoring cash flow. The Senior Accountant will handle budgeting support, variance analysis, and cost tracking related to logistics operations, as well as maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls. The role also involves collaborating with operations and management teams, supporting audits, improving financial processes, and providing clear, timely financial reports to leadership.QualificationsStrong knowledge of financial accounting, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.Experience in logistics-related environment will be an advantage.Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as advanced skills in spreadsheet and data analysis tools (e.g., MS Excel).Solid understanding of local tax regulations, compliance requirements and frameworks.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work on-site in the Karachi Division, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage.Previous experience in a senior accounting or similar role, ideally within logistics, transportation, or a related industry.
