Senior Accountant

WE’RE HIRING | SENIOR ACCOUNTANT – RETAIL & MANUFACTURINGLocation: Dubai, UAEEmployment Type: Full-Time | On-SiteWe are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with strong hands-on expertise in manufacturing accounting, retail operations, inventory control, and costing to join our Finance team.The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting within a business that operates across retail branches, warehouses, and manufacturing activities, with the ability to monitor inventory, review product costing, ensure financial accuracy, and support effective financial controls.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Manage and review accounting operations across retail branches, warehouses, and manufacturing activities.• Monitor inventory movements, stock valuation, inventory reconciliations, physical stock counts, adjustments, variances, and shrinkage.• Review manufacturing accounting, including raw materials, work in progress, finished goods, wastage, production costs, and product costing.• Analyze manufacturing costs and ensure accurate allocation and recording of production expenses.• Review retail branch sales, cash collections, card settlements, expenses, and petty cash.• Coordinate with warehouses, manufacturing, purchasing, retail operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate inventory and accounting records.• Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify the root causes of stock variances.• Review purchase transactions and ensure proper matching of purchase orders, goods receipts, supplier invoices, and payments.• Handle General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing.• Prepare and review Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and management reports.• Support budgeting, forecasting, and budget-versus-actual analysis.• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and applicable statutory requirements.• Support internal and external audits and provide the required documentation.• Identify accounting and internal control weaknesses and recommend improvements.• Support the improvement and automation of accounting, inventory, and reporting processes through the ERP system.REQUIREMENTS• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• 7–10+ years of relevant accounting experience.• Strong and proven experience in manufacturing accounting is required.• Strong experience in retail accounting and multi-branch operations is required.• Extensive hands-on experience in inventory accounting, stock control, reconciliation, and valuation.• Strong knowledge of manufacturing costing and production accounting.• Experience with inventory management within an ERP environment.• Good knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.• Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and financial analysis.• ERP experience is mandatory, preferably Odoo, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or a similar system.• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.• Previous internal or external audit experience is an advantage.• ACCA, CMA, CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification is an advantage.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.• High level of accuracy, confidentiality, integrity, and attention to detail.CANDIDATE PROFILEThe ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with a strong background in manufacturing, retail, inventory, and costing. The candidate should be comfortable working closely with warehouses, factories, retail branches, purchasing, and operations, while maintaining strong financial controls and accurate accounting records.Candidates who are available to join immediately will be preferred.
