This breadth of operations offers team members exposure to complex, multi-sector business activities and opportunities for professional growth.Role Description The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Muscat. The individual in this role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and reconciliation of accounts. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls, and supporting external and internal audits. The Senior Accountant will monitor budgets, analyze variances, provide financial reports to management, and assist in cash flow management and forecasting. The role also involves coordinating with other departments to ensure accurate financial data, improving accounting processes, and mentoring junior accounting staff as needed.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, and month-end/year-end closing.Candidates should possess skills in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support management decision-making.Candidates should possess skills in audit support, internal controls, and compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or equivalent).Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid Microsoft Excel and related reporting tools skills.Candidates should possess strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and guide junior staff.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are an advantage.Relevant experience in a senior-level accounting role, ideally within diversified business groups, construction, or real estate sectors.
