Job Title: Senior Accountant Reports To: Group Accounting Manager Work Location: Dubai, UAEWork Timings: 5 days a week (8+1 hours)Salary Package: AED 7,000 -10,000(Immediate joiners preferred)Objective:The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and executing day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, payment processing, reconciliations, VAT compliance, cash flow monitoring, and audit support. The role supports the Group Accounting Manager by ensuring accurate and timely financial records, adherence to accounting standards, effective internal controls, and compliance with applicable tax and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:Prepare periodic financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and KPI reports, in accordance with the reporting schedule and as requested by the Group Accounting Manager. Assist in the preparation of quotations, pro forma invoices, and tax invoices for clients when required by the Group Accounting Manager. Process payments through cheques and online banking platforms; handle and reconcile petty cash and monthly credit card transactions, ensuring accurate posting of all payment transactions (bank, credit card and cash). Support financial modelling and cost/revenue analysis as directed by the Group Accounting Manager. Coordinate with banks for daily operational transactions and follow-up items as instructed. Perform periodic reconciliation of general ledger accounts against approved budgets. Organize and maintain the company’s financial records and ensure all documents (including soft copies) are properly filed and updated in the shared system (Dropbox). Maintain proper and transparent handling of cheques, cash, and petty cash as per company policy. Assist in preparing monthly cash flow projections to ensure sufficient working capital for day-to-day operations and long-term requirements. Ensure all tax compliance matters are up-to-date and report any issues or requirements to the Group Accounting Manager. Prepare VAT reports for filing and submit them to the Accounting Manager for review and approval within the required timeline. Provide support during VAT audits conducted by the FTA by preparing required documentation for review by the Accounting Manager.Assist in payroll recording in the accounting system and coordinate with the HR department; obtain approval from the Accounting Manager for salary and staff payments promptly. Review internal controls and suggest improvements to the Group Accounting Manager for further implementation. Coordinate and support both internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion of audit requirements. Perform any other duties assigned by the Group Accounting Manager and/or the Chief Executive Officer.Qualification / Minimum Level of Education & Relevant ExperienceBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with senior-level accounting responsibilities. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Strong understanding of financial statements, general ledger accounting, VAT, reconciliations, budgeting, and financial reporting. Strong analytical skills with close attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments. Ability to effectively multitask, manage time-sensitive financial documents, meet reporting deadlines, and maintain exceptional organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
