Applicants can expect to join a company that emphasizes reliability, flexibility, and high service standards in the storage and logistics industry.Role DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Accountant to strengthen our Finance team and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the company’s accounting and financial reporting.The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining strong accounting processes, internal controls, financial governance, and audit readiness as the organization continues to grow and strengthen its financial infrastructure.The successful candidate will be technically strong, highly detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining accurate, transparent, well-controlled, and properly documented financial records.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting activities and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
- Lead the monthly and annual financial closing process.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with PFRS/IFRS and company accounting policies.
- Review general ledger accounts and ensure appropriate account reconciliations.
- Prepare and review accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, provisions, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and properly supported.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports and financial analysis.Internal Controls & Financial Governance
- Implement and maintain effective accounting controls and procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation, approvals, segregation of duties, and compliance with established financial policies.
- Identify accounting and control gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain organized and audit-ready financial documentation.
- Support the continuous improvement and standardization of accounting processes.Audit & Compliance
- Serve as a key Finance resource during external, statutory, and other financial audits.
- Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, supporting documents, and responses to audit requests.
- Coordinate with auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
- Assist the Head of Finance in addressing audit findings and strengthening financial controls.
- Support financial due diligence and other corporate finance requirements as needed.Accounts Payable, Receivable & Cash Management
- Monitor AP and AR activities and ensure transactions are properly recorded and supported.
- Monitor receivables, payables, collections, and outstanding balances.
- Assist with cash flow reporting and bank reconciliation.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of cash and banking transactions.Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Assist in the preparation and submission of tax and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with external tax advisers and auditors as necessary.
- Maintain complete documentation supporting tax and statutory filings.
- Monitor compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements.Process Improvement & Finance Transformation
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, reporting, and efficiency.
- Support ERP and finance-system improvements and automation initiatives.
- Help standardize accounting practices across business units or locations.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and process documentation.
- Support initiatives to strengthen the Finance function and build scalable financial processes.Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA is strongly preferred.
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with experience in a senior accounting or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of PFRS/IFRS, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
- Experience with month-end and year-end closing.
- Strong experience in account reconciliation and preparation of financial statements.
- Experience working with external and statutory auditors.
- Good understanding of internal controls and financial governance.
- Strong Excel and accounting/ERP systems skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, organization, and attention to detail.
