The RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accountant to join the Japan finance team. This position will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and process improvements while partnering closely with regional stakeholders.Manage general ledger activities and ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing.Prepare financial statements and statutory reports in accordance with local accounting standards.Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements.Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.Collaborate with regional finance teams on reporting and consolidation activities.Monitor and strengthen internal controls and accounting processes.Support finance transformation projects and process improvement initiatives.Partner with business stakeholders to provide financial insights and operational support. Your Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a multinational environment.Strong knowledge of Japanese accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.Experience managing monthly close and statutory reporting processes.CPA, USCPA, Nissho Boki, or equivalent qualification is advantageous.Strong Excel and ERP system experience.Fluent Japanese and business-level Mandarin are required.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly growing organization.
