Senior Accountant

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a finance team overseeing accounting operations for US-based businesses. This role is ideal for professionals who have managed the full accounting cycle, led month-end close processes, owned financial reporting, and mentored accounting teams. Candidates with experience as Accounting Managers, Assistant Controllers, or Senior Accountants stepping into leadership are encouraged to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end accounting function for one or multiple US entities/clientsLead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processesManage general ledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and fixed assetsOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash managementReview balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepanciesPrepare and analyze financial reports, KPIs, budgets, and forecastsMaintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policiesCoordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during auditsSupport process improvements, automation initiatives, and ERP implementationsMentor accounting team members and review their workRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field6–8+ years of accounting and finance experience, including significant US exposureStrong understanding of US GAAP and financial reportingExperience managing the complete month-end and year-end close processTeam leadership or people management experienceExcellent communication skills with senior stakeholdersPreferred ExperienceCPA, CA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualificationMulti-entity or multi-client accounting experienceExperience in SaaS, professional services, or growth-stage businessesERP implementation or migration experienceTechnical SkillsQuickBooks Online/Desktop, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, or XeroMicrosoft Excel (Advanced); Power BI or reporting tools preferredWhat We're Looking ForStrong ownership mentality with attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesClient-first mindset with exceptional communication abilitiesNice to HaveExperience supporting private equity-backed or high-growth businessesExposure to KPI reporting, board reporting, and strategic finance initiativesExperiencePreferred: 6–8+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
