Team members contribute to building efficient operations and strong relationships in a dynamic, competitive sector.Role Description The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Biratnagar. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and bookkeeping. The Senior Accountant prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supports budgeting and forecasting, and ensures compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations. Additional responsibilities include overseeing inventory and cost accounting related to consumer electronics distribution, coordinating with internal teams and external auditors, and improving financial controls and reporting processes. The role may also involve mentoring junior finance staff and supporting management with financial analysis for decision-making.Qualifications Strong skills in financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and cash flow management.Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support management decisions.Knowledge of tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and local accounting standards in Nepal.Ability to use accounting software and spreadsheets; familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems is beneficial.Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, ACCA) are an advantage.Prior experience in a senior accounting or similar role, preferably within distribution, trading, or consumer electronics.Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and commitment to maintaining accurate and transparent financial records.
