Apply & track with Apply EdgeWAHA AIR is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the company's accounting, financial reporting, taxation, payment, and day-to-day financial operations.We are looking for a professional who can independently manage the accounting cycle and has strong knowledge of UAE accounting practices, VAT, Corporate Tax, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and audit requirements.The successful candidate will work closely with management and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring company cash flow, controlling receivables and payables, and ensuring compliance with applicable UAE financial and tax requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the company's day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).Monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up on collections.Manage supplier invoices, payment schedules, and account reconciliations.Perform regular bank and cash reconciliations.Prepare and monitor cash flow reports.Manage petty cash and company expense records.Prepare Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and management reports.Handle UAE VAT calculations, VAT returns, and related documentation.Support and coordinate UAE Corporate Tax calculations, filings, and compliance requirements.Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents in accordance with UAE requirements.Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, credit notes, and related financial documentation.Monitor project costs, supplier payments, customer collections, and company expenses.Support project-based costing and profitability analysis.Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, suppliers, and customers when required.Prepare documentation required for financial audits and tax inspections.Ensure proper filing and organization of accounting and financial records.Identify discrepancies, financial risks, overdue payments, and unusual transactions and report them to management.Maintain strict confidentiality of all company financial information.Candidate RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.Proven professional experience as a Senior Accountant / General Accountant.Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.Previous accounting experience in the UAE is strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation, and Financial Reporting.Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally, or similar systems.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the company's accounting processes.Good written and verbal communication skills in English.Experience in HVAC, MEP, contracting, construction, or project-based companies will be considered a strong advantage.Preferred CandidateWe are particularly interested in candidates who have previously handled the full accounting cycle of a UAE-based contracting or project-oriented company, including project expenses, supplier payments, customer collections, VAT, Corporate Tax, cash flow, and management reporting.Interested candidates may apply with an updated CV.
