Senior Accountant

Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Irvine, CA. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, month-end and year-end closes, and preparation of financial statements. The Senior Accountant will oversee accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts, and ensure accurate recording of journal entries. The role includes supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing variances, and providing financial insights to leadership. The Senior Accountant will also help maintain internal controls, assist with audits, ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial processes and reporting.QualificationsStrong financial accounting and reporting skills, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and providing data-driven financial insights to business stakeholders.Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid Excel skills for data analysis and modeling.Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and compliance requirements, with experience supporting audits and process improvements.Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both finance and non-finance teams.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification or progress toward certification is preferred.Several years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including prior senior or lead accountant responsibilities.
