Senior Accountant

Our client is a growing energy company with a strong presence in the upstream oil & gas industry and an established corporate accounting team in Houston. Following a recent acquisition, they are continuing to grow and are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team.ResponsibilitiesManage the general ledger and prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and adjustmentsExecute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesPerform complex balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliationsAssist with preparation of financial statements and internal management reportingSupport internal and external audits with schedules and documentationAnalyze accounting data and help identify opportunities to improve processesQualifications4+ years' of professional accounting experience within upstream Oil and Gas / E&P or Public AccountingBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experienceSpanish speakingExperienced working with South American clients/partnersStrong understanding of general ledger and month-end closeAdvanced ExcelSAP helpful
