We specialise in the design, development and manufacturing of Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), precision-engineered components and customised engineering solutions for defence, aerospace, public sector undertakings (PSUs) and industrial customers.Our Bengaluru manufacturing facility is equipped with in-house CNC turning, VMC machining, injection moulding, fabrication and assembly capabilities.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced, technically accomplished and hands-on Technical Head to lead our engineering and product development activities.This is a technical leadership position requiring strong engineering fundamentals, practical manufacturing expertise and the ability to independently drive complex, customised engineering projects from concept to successful execution.The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable reviewing engineering designs, resolving shop-floor challenges, developing manufacturing processes and interacting with customers on technical matters.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end engineering development of SPMs, custom machinery and precision mechanical components.Analyse customer specifications, technical drawings and functional requirements to develop practical, manufacturable solutions.Review and approve mechanical designs, 3D models, manufacturing drawings, material specifications, GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.Establish manufacturing methodologies, machining processes, fixtures, tooling and inspection strategies.Oversee technical execution across design, CNC/VMC machining, fabrication, assembly and testing.Develop and review Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), inspection documentation, First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and technical compliance documents.Lead engineering troubleshooting, prototype development, machine trials, validation and customer acceptance.Coordinate technical discussions, design reviews and inspections with defence, aerospace and PSU customers.Mentor and lead a multidisciplinary team of 5–8 engineers across design, manufacturing and quality.Take ownership of critical engineering decisions, ensuring technical feasibility, quality, cost-effectiveness and timely project delivery.Required Qualifications & ExperienceB.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.10–15 years of relevant experience in machine design, SPM development, precision manufacturing or custom-engineered equipment.Demonstrated experience in independently developing and executing SPMs or customised mechanical systems.Strong practical understanding of CNC turning, VMC machining, manufacturing process planning, jigs and fixtures.Sound knowledge of GD&T, engineering materials, heat treatment, machining tolerances and assembly practices.Experience interpreting complex engineering drawings and managing technical documentation and quality requirements.Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software.Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical decision-making and team leadership capabilities.Additional Skills – PreferredHydraulic and pneumatic system design and integration.Plastic component design and injection mould tooling.Sheet metal fabrication, welding and structural assemblies.Understanding of NDT and specialised inspection processes.Familiarity with electrical systems, PLCs and industrial automation interfaces.Previous experience executing projects for defence, aerospace organisations, HAL, DRDO or other government/PSU establishments.Who Should Apply?We are particularly interested in hands-on engineering professionals who have progressed through design, development and manufacturing roles into technical leadership.This position is best suited for someone who enjoys solving challenging engineering problems, taking ownership of technical decisions and delivering customised engineering solutions rather than managing routine, repetitive production.What We OfferOpportunity to lead diverse, technically challenging engineering projects.Exposure to defence, aerospace and high-precision manufacturing applications.Direct involvement in engineering strategy, product development and manufacturing decisions.A leadership role with substantial technical ownership and responsibility.Interested candidates may apply through LinkedIn or share their updated resume.
