We aim to strengthen our position in the construction sector, deliver every project to a high standard, and expand our activities in Greece and abroad.The roleYou will join our Accounting department in Athens as a Senior Accountant. You will cover the full accounting cycle, from day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciliations to financial statements, tax returns and the annual audit.What you will doCoordinate accounting functions and programmes across the departmentMaintain and reconcile general-ledger and balance-sheet accounts, including accounts payable and receivablePrepare financial statements under IFRS, as well as tax returnsAccount for construction contracts: revenue and cost by project, payment certificates, retentions and guarantee lettersKeep the books of joint ventures (κοινοπραξίες) and reconcile them with the company’s accountsPrepare financial analyses, reports, revenue projections and expenditure forecastsHelp prepare and monitor budgetsPrepare for the annual audit, and investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies and non-compliance issuesHelp develop new or improved accounting systems, programmes and procedures, including in our ERP (Pylon)Carry out other accounting duties as assignedWhat you bringRequired:At least seven years of accounting experienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceSolid knowledge of financial accounting principles and IFRSHands-on experience with accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliations and preparing financial statementsExperience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecastingAdvanced Excel and proficiency in Office 365 and accounting softwareStrong attention to detail and accuracy, with sharp analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFluent Greek and EnglishA plus:Experience in construction-contract or joint-venture accountingIFRS certificationMaster’s degree in a related fieldExperience with Pylon ERPWhat we offerCompetitive remuneration packageGroup health insuranceExcellent working conditions
