Senior Accountant – Heavy Equipment DivisionLocation: Abu Dhabi, UAEGaladari Trucks & Heavy Equipment (GTHE) is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of machine costing, inventory valuations and product costs within our Heavy Equipment division. This role is focused on understanding the true cost and valuation of our machines, maintaining accurate costs in our internal systems, identifying variances and explaining the numbers to senior management and customers. This role will be suited to a Part Qualified CA/CPA Accountant. The PositionMaintain accurate machine costings and inventory valuations in internal systems.Review product costs, landed costs and valuation movements within the ERP system.Analyse cost variances between system, expected and actual machine costs.Investigate and explain costing and valuation discrepancies.Provide accurate machine cost and margin information to support machine sales and pricing.Clearly explain machine costs, valuations and variances to the GM, CEO, Sales team and customers.Ensure machine costs and valuations are accurately reflected.Strong with Excel Work with Finance, Sales, Operations and Procurement to ensure costing information is accurate.About YouBachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.Ideally CA / CPA part-qualified.Experience within a Private Company 5+ years' experience in accounting, costing, inventory valuation or commercial finance.Proven experience working with inventory costing and valuation, preferably involving high-value equipment or machinery.Strong understanding of product costing, machine costing, landed costs, inventory valuations and cost variances.Strong understanding of how equipment costs translate into selling prices and margins.Able to analyse costing information and explain it clearly to senior management and customers.Strong attention to detail with the ability to challenge inaccurate or inconsistent costing information.About UsGaladari Trucks & Heavy equipment is a flagship subsidiary of Galadari Brothers, and the market leader in providing heavy earthmoving, construction, heavy duty trucks and materials handling equipment for over 40 years in the United Arab emirates.
