Senior Accountant – ManCo & SPV - Private EquityAre you an experienced accountant with a strong understanding of SPV structures and a background in private equity, investment funds, real estate or financial services in Luxembourg?Our client is a leading international investment firm with a growing presence in Luxembourg. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established in-house SPV Administration team where you will work closely with experienced professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for both SPV accounting and the accounting for the management company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across all entitiesYour responsibilitiesManagement Company (approx. 70% of time)Maintain accurate accounting records for the Luxembourg Management Company, including day-to-day bookkeeping, accruals, prepayments, intercompany balances and management fee calculationsPrepare monthly management accounts and quarterly reporting packages for the ManCo, including balance sheet, P&L and cash flow analysisPrepare annual financial statements for the ManCo in accordance with Luxembourg GAAP and coordinate the statutory audit process with external auditorsMonitor and control the ManCo budget, track actuals vs budget and support the preparation of forecastsEnsure timely filing of regulatory and statistical returns (e.g. BCL, STATEC) for the ManCo and liaise with compliance and tax teams as requiredCoordinate with fund accounting, tax, legal and depositary teams to support ManCo-related corporate actions and governance requirementsSPVs (approx. 30% of time)Maintain accurate accounting records including day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of SPVs, including acquisitions, disposals, financing activities, accruals, operating expenses, and preparation of quarterly reporting packagesPrepare annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and internal procedures, and liaise with auditors for audit completionPrepare weekly cash reconciliations and coordinate with the accounts payable team for the payment of invoicesCoordinate with internal teams (Funds, Tax, Legal, Compliance, Deal team), auditors and depositary banks to ensure smooth execution of investment / divestment transactionsAssist with the preparation of corporate tax, VAT and withholding tax returnsPrepare monthly and quarterly BCL reportingParticipate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reporting qualitySupport ad-hoc projectsYour profileAccounting qualification and/or a degree in Finance, Accounting or a related disciplineFrom around 5 years of experience in SPV accounting or a similar role within private equity, investment funds, real estate or financial services gained in LuxembourgStrong knowledge of SPV structures, accounting principles, Luxembourg GAAP and financial reporting requirementsFluent in EnglishGood understanding of investment and financing transactions and their accounting treatmentStrong Excel skills and experience with investment management systems such as eFront, Investran, Allvue or equivalent; Power BI knowledge would be an advantageExcellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities effectivelyProactive, organised and solution-driven, with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholdersIf this opportunity feels right for you, we’d love to hear from you.Kindly note that a valid Luxembourg work permit is required for consideration.All applications are handled with the utmost confidentiality, feel free to review our privacy policy on our website.We are proud to be an equal opportunity recruitment firm and welcome candidates from all backgrounds.
