JAM Event Services is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Riyadh. This is a Saudization role.You will run day-to-day accounting operations, keep our financial records accurate, and deliver timely reporting. You will also play a key part in internal controls, ZATCA compliance and giving management the financial insight it needs to make decisions.

Location: Al Malqa, Riyadh, KSA (office-based, 5 days a week)Type: Full-timeReports to: Head of Finance & OperationsKey ResponsibilitiesMaintain the general ledger, making sure all transactions across our KSA and regional entities are accurate and correctly classifiedManage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment scheduling and following up on outstanding receivablesReconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, petty cash and other records in line with Saudi banking and reporting practicesProcess employee reimbursements and freelance expense claims with the right documentation and approvalsRegister new entities on our finance system and maintain related compliance records, including Qiwa, Mudad and GOSI requirementsRegister on client portals and submit invoices in line with ZATCA e-invoicing (Fatoora) regulationsPost journal entries, accruals, prepayments and other month-end adjustments accurately and on timeEnsure full VAT compliance with ZATCA in KSA and the relevant tax authorities across our GCC entities, preparing and filing returns and liaising with the authoritiesPrepare and submit Zakat returns and manage Withholding Tax (WHT) returns for KSA entitiesAssist with Corporate Tax filings for KSA and our other GCC entitiesProcess payroll entries and reconcile payroll with the accounts, including GOSI contributions and end-of-service benefit calculationsSupport internal and external audits, including ZATCA audits and inspectionsHandle insurance-related accounting, including premiums, renewals and allocationsKeep up to date with changes to Saudi tax law (VAT, Zakat, WHT, Corporate Tax), e-invoicing phases and reporting standardsLiaise with auditors, tax consultants, banks and vendors, and coordinate with HR, Procurement and Operations on expense validation and budgetsMaintain secure, organised digital and physical financial records and handle confidential data with discretionSupport the MD, CFO and Financial Controller on special projects, financial analysis and process improvementsRequirementsThis is a Saudization roleBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related fieldACCA, CPA, CMA or CA qualification strongly preferred5–6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in the GCCFull-cycle accounting experience, including general ledger, month-end and year-end closeHands-on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, fixed assets and cash flow managementGood working knowledge of VAT, Zakat and corporate tax compliance in the GCCExperience preparing for audits and working with external auditorsStrong knowledge of IFRSProficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Zoho or other ERP systemsAdvanced Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel and SharePointStrong analytical and organisational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
