to support our merchant acquiring business in the United States.WHAT’S THE CHALLENGEThis role will be responsible for end-to-end merchant onboarding operations, including KYC/KYB review, acquiring risk assessment, merchant submission to acquiring partners and payment channels, merchant activation, and post-onboarding chargeback case management.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in merchant acquiring, payment risk, underwriting, or onboarding operations, understands the fundamentals of merchant financial analysis, and is comfortable working with cross-functional and international teams.WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITHYou’ll work closely with:Business Development teams to assess and onboard enterprise merchants and new verticals, Product and Operations as well as Compliance and HQ Risk teams to ensure alignment with regulatory, scheme, and internal policy requirementsWHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGMerchant Onboarding & Risk ReviewConduct end-to-end onboarding reviews for merchants applying for acquiring and payment processing services.Perform merchant risk assessments, including review of business models, products and services, websites, transaction flows, expected payment volumes, average transaction values, fulfillment models, refund policies, and other relevant risk factors.Review KYC/KYB documentation and identify potential compliance, operational, fraud, credit, or acquiring risks.Conduct basic financial analysis, including reviewing financial statements, revenue, profitability, liquidity, operating history, and other indicators relevant to merchant risk assessment.Identify merchants that require enhanced due diligence, additional documentation, risk controls, reserves, or escalation.Acquiring Channel & Merchant SetupPrepare and submit merchant applications to acquiring banks, card schemes, processors, and other payment channel partners.Ensure merchant applications and supporting documentation meet internal requirements and channel-specific onboarding standards.Coordinate with internal teams and external acquiring/channel partners to address RFIs, documentation gaps, and onboarding questions.Track merchant applications through approval, MID setup, configuration, testing, and final activation.Maintain accurate merchant onboarding records and ensure required approvals and documentation are properly captured.Chargeback & Dispute ManagementManage chargeback and dispute cases throughout the case lifecycle.Review transaction information, merchant evidence, and supporting documentation to determine appropriate responses.Coordinate with merchants and internal stakeholders to collect representment evidence within required timelines.Monitor chargeback trends and identify merchants or transaction patterns that may require further risk review or remediation.Support investigations and escalations relating to excessive disputes, fraud, or card scheme monitoring programs.Operational & Cross-functional SupportWork closely with Risk, Compliance, Sales, Product, Operations, and acquiring/channel partners to support merchant onboarding and ongoing acquiring operations.Support improvements to merchant onboarding procedures, operational controls, and risk review processes.Assist with periodic merchant reviews and ongoing monitoring when required.Help ensure acquiring operations remain compliant with internal policies, acquiring partner requirements, and applicable card scheme standards.WHAT YOU BRING3–5 years of relevant experience in merchant acquiring, payment operations, acquiring risk, merchant underwriting, KYC/KYB, payment risk, or a related field.Hands-on experience with merchant onboarding and acquiring risk review.Good understanding of KYC/KYB requirements and merchant due diligence processes.Experience in submitting merchants to acquiring banks, processors, payment channels, or similar financial institutions is strongly preferred.Experience managing chargebacks, disputes, or representment cases.Ability to review and understand basic company financial statements and financial risk indicators.Good understanding of online payment processing, merchant acquiring, card payments, and payment risk concepts.Experience working with an acquirer, payment processor, PSP, fintech, acquiring bank, or payment platform.Familiarity with US BIN sponsor banks, Visa and Mastercard merchant onboarding, dispute, and acquiring risk requirements.Experience supporting cross-border or international merchants.WHO YOU AREEducated with a relevant Finance degree in business, project management or related field.Good written and verbal communication skills in English.Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a plus to support effective communication and collaboration across the global Acquiring organization.Capable of absorbing large amounts of information and the ability to distil it down to the essentials to educate all internal stakeholders.Influence and advise leadership teams on necessary changes and execute against the objectives.Understand local regulatory requirements and ability to adapt to the global environment.Ability to juggle several projects and shift
