Senior Aerodynamics Engineer

Closing Date: Friday 25th September 2026Fueled by bold ambitionIn this role you will work within the Aero Development Team, employing cutting-edge techniques to deliver aerodynamic performance to the race car. This will involve analyzing computational and wind tunnel data and fostering innovation throughout the design and development process. Team members are encouraged to challenge established thinking and share their ideas to create an environment where everyone can contribute to our shared success. Take ownership of the aerodynamic development of a defined car area (e.g. front wing, bodywork, rear corner), while providing technical leadership and day-to-day direction to a small team of engineersDeliver aerodynamic performance to the race car, by analyzing CFD and wind tunnel data as well as innovating throughout the design and development processBuild an understanding of the aerodynamic structures and behaviors around the race carWork with management groups to construct a mutually agreed and communicated aerodynamic development planSuggest, investigate and, where applicable, implement new methods and processes to improve efficiency of aerodynamic ideas generation, design, testing, analysis and reportingContribute to collaborative discussions and efforts to improve whole-car performance, offering ideas and taking on board feedback from othersCommunicate key findings, opportunities and threats to the Lead EngineerRequirementsWhat do we need from you?A degree in a relevant discipline (Aerodynamics/Aeronautics) or similar, or equivalentStrong understanding of the Formula 1® Technical RegulationsExcellent knowledge of CFD methods and analysis of CFD dataExperience in leading, managing and directly contributing to aerodynamic development, including planning, organizing, and managing aerodynamic development projects against pre-agreed targetsWell versed with 3D CAD software (preferably 3DExperience/CATIA)Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to line manage / lead teams effectivelyAble to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errorsClear and concise communication, verbally and written, including with key stakeholders and directorsStrong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPointPositively contribute to an open and inclusive cultureWilling to travel and work flexible hours during race seasonA team like no other.The Cadillac Formula 1® Team challenges conventions and redefines success through bold ambition, cutting-edge innovation, and an unwavering commitment to precision and excellence—on and off the track.
