Senior AI Engineer

Camgian is looking to expand its development organization with the addition of a Senior AI Engineer. We are focused on applying state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Deep Learning technologies to advance decision support products in the government and commercial markets. This is a hands-on technical position that involves the development, training, and validation of AI, ML, CV & DL based algorithms and models. Teamwork, flexibility, and willingness to continuously learn new concepts & technologies are critical requirements for this position. Candidate must demonstrate strong technical, leadership, and communication skills and must be able to effectively lead a small to medium sized team.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics)Proficiency in Python with a strong programming backgroundStrong Knowledge in AI, ML, and DL theory and conceptsExperience developing, training, and validating AI models to solve real world problems5+ years progressive professional experienceUnited States CitizenshipDesired SkillsMaster’s or PhD in a computer science related disciplineExperience with developing and deploying ML models into products and servicesExperience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn and/or OpenCV strongly desiredExperience with tools such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, MATLABStrong analytical skills and creative problem solving abilityUnderstanding of Agile development methodologyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsResponsibilitiesArchitect, design, develop, and test critical product features and sub-systems ensuring high qualityLead a team of engineers in algorithm/model design and developmentProvide mentorship and guidance to junior engineersTrack project/product milestones and releases ensuring schedule and budget are met Prepare for and hold technical reviews to present your work to the company Practice agile development focused on methodologies such as continuous integrationLead continuous process and productivity improvements in the teamEngage in professional development activities to enhance your skillsetExceptional work ethic, willingness to learn, tenacity not to quit, aptitude to surpass, and strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment are necessary for success.
