Senior AI / Software EngineerOslo, Norway | Full-TimeWe are seeking an experienced Senior AI / Software Engineer to join a high-performing product engineering team building next-generation AI-powered applications.This position is suited to an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, developing scalable backend systems, and deploying AI solutions into production environments. You will play a key role in designing architecture, building intelligent features, and driving technical excellence across the development lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.Develop and deploy AI-driven applications and intelligent automation solutions.Build systems leveraging modern LLMs, RAG frameworks, and machine learning technologies.Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering best practices.Optimise application performance, scalability, and reliability.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture.Requirements5+ years of commercial software engineering experience.Strong proficiency in Python and modern backend development.Experience building and operating cloud-native applications.Strong understanding of API design, distributed systems, and software architecture.Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.Exposure to AI/ML technologies, LLMs, vector databases, or retrieval-based systems.Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.Nice to HaveExperience with LangChain, OpenAI APIs, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks.Knowledge of data engineering and MLOps principles.Experience developing SaaS products at scale.Background in highly regulated or enterprise environments.What's OfferedCompetitive salary and benefits package.Significant technical ownership and influence.Opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technologies.Collaborative and ambitious engineering environment.Flexible and modern working arrangements.If you're a senior engineer with a passion for AI, backend development, and building impactful products, we'd love to hear from you.
