Senior AI Foundry Engineer (Onsite Dubai)

AI Foundry Use Case Engineer (Contractor) Job PurposeAccelerate the adoption of Microsoft AI Foundry by rapidly converting approved demand and enterprise architecture (EA) blueprint opportunities into working, value-driven AI use cases.The role acts as a hands-on bridge between Enterprise Architecture, Data & Analytics and business demand, delivering practical AI solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry and existing data assets, while enabling sustainable in-house capability. Key ResponsibilitiesUse Case Acceleration & DeliveryRapidly design and implement AI use cases sourced from:The approved demand intake channelEA blueprint improvement opportunitiesTranslate high-level business problems into deployable AI Foundry solutions (MVP → pilot → scale)Microsoft AI Foundry & Fabric EnablementBuild and deploy AI applications using Microsoft AI Foundry, including:Agents, copilots, and AI workflowsModel catalog and Azure OpenAI modelsDevelop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns grounded in:OneLake / Microsoft FabricSharePoint and enterprise data sourcesAnalytics & Model DevelopmentImplement fit-for-purpose ML and analytics models (forecasting, classification, anomaly detection) using Azure ML and/or FabricIntegrate analytical outputs into AI agents and business workflowsArchitecture & Data AlignmentWork closely with:Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with target-state architecturesData teams to reuse certified datasets, semantic models, and pipelinesFollow EA guardrails while prioritizing speed and reuse over bespoke solutionsOperationalization & GovernanceApply pragmatic MLOps and AI governance practices aligned with company standardsEvaluate AI solutions using AI Foundry evaluation tools (groundedness, relevance, safety)Ensure documentation of:Use case objectivesArchitecture patternsDeployment approach and limitationsCollaboration & EnablementWork alongside BI analysts, data engineers, and product ownersEnable internal teams by sharing reusable patterns, templates, and reference implementations Required QualificationsStrong Python skills for data analysis and AI developmentHands-on experience with Microsoft Azure AI services, preferably:Azure AI Foundry / Azure AI StudioAzure OpenAIExperience with Dataiku DSS Microsoft FabricExperience building RAG-based applicationsSolid understanding of analytics, data modeling, and applied machine learningAbility to operate in ambiguous environments and deliver rapidly Preferred QualificationsPrior experience accelerating AI or analytics use cases in large enterprisesFamiliarity with EA or target architecture modelsExposure to agent frameworks (Semantic Kernel, LangChain)Experience in logistics, shipping, or asset-intensive industriesAzure AI Engineer certification (preferred, not essential)
