Senior AI/ML Engineer – Agentic AI

This is an opportunity for a Senior AI Engineer to work on cutting-edge machine learning and Agentic AI solutions, building scalable systems that solve complex, real-world business problems.You’ll join a collaborative, technically ambitious environment where you’ll have the opportunity to work across AI, software engineering, data and cloud, while helping shape the next generation of intelligent products and services.The RoleAs a Senior AI Engineer, you’ll design, build and deploy production-ready AI and machine learning solutions. You’ll work closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Product teams and DevSecOps to take AI solutions from concept through to production.Key responsibilities:Design and develop machine learning and Agentic AI systems for complex business challenges.Build scalable, production-ready AI applications and services.Develop data, ingestion and memory pipelines to support AI and ML systems.Apply modern MLOps, CI/CD, testing, monitoring and model governance practices.Work with cloud technologies and distributed architectures to deliver AI at scale.Develop and integrate APIs, microservices and other software components.Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges.Stay current with emerging AI technologies and help introduce new approaches.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers.What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for an experienced AI/ML engineer with a strong software engineering foundation.Essential experience:Strong commercial experience in AI/ML engineering or a closely related discipline.Excellent Python skills, with experience in C++ and/or SQL.Strong knowledge of machine learning and deep learning, including frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or scikit-learn.Experience building and deploying production ML/AI systems.Understanding of LLMs, Agentic AI and modern AI development practices.Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS.Knowledge of MLOps, CI/CD, model monitoring and versioning.Experience working with data pipelines, databases and distributed processing technologies such as Spark/PySpark.Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including APIs, microservices, testing, version control and system design.DesirableExperience with LLM tooling, AI agents or Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC).Experience with MLflow, SageMaker or similar MLOps platforms.Experience with knowledge graphs, graph databases or semantic data models.Experience with reinforcement learning, NLP or computer vision.Why Consider It?Work on genuinely challenging AI and Agentic AI projects.Opportunity to influence architecture and engineering practices.Collaborative environment with strong opportunities for learning, innovation and career development.Join a growing AI capability while being based in the Northwest of Ireland.Salary dependent on candidate experience.
