Knowledge of Research writing is not a must, however, applicants interested in the domain are encouraged to apply! :)Responsibilities:Own the SciSpace Agent for Research Workflows end-to-end. Define vision, strategy, and roadmap for an AI agent that assists researchersBuild a modular, extensible agent platform that works across multiple research domains and user segmentsLead cross-functional execution across engineering, NLP, design, growth, and data teams to deliver an agent-first research experience.Do prompt engineering and evals for agentic systems.Translate ambiguous user problems into structured product requirements and intelligent system behaviorsContinuously refine the agent through user insights, experimentation, and iterative learning loopsWork closely with software development teams on defining, designing and delivering high-quality products; provide feedback on architecture, design, and prioritiesInteract with the design team to convert product requirements into actionable prototypes.Closely work with engineering to flush out the product requirements into clear executable tasks with quick time-to-market and optimal resourcesUse a combination of outstanding analytical skills, business judgment, and strategic thinking to innovate and create world-class experiencesTake initiative. Plans efficiently while avoiding analysis paralysisProactively filling communication gaps amongst all team members – We believe good communication solves half the problemOur ideal candidates would:4+ years of relevant work experience in software development in technical leadership, product management or similar roles.Must possess a strong understanding of LLMs, agentic systems, orchestration, and modern AI architecturesHave experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and AI evaluation techniques.Experience leading product design through the entire lifecycle, from concept and wireframes to MVP and final release.Hands-on experience with LLM-based agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent).Be comfortable defining and optimizing system-level metrics such as accuracy, completion rate, latency, and user trustExperience working with engineering teams to define, scope, and prioritize product requirements.Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines.Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the jobCommunicate clearly and persuasively, with the ability to drive alignment and decision-making at multiple levelsMS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
