Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Title: Senior AI Software EngineerIndustry: Banking & Financial ServicesContract Duration: Minimum 6 months, with strong potential for extensionLocation: On site – Dubai / Abu Dhabi, UAEMonthly Rate: 40,000–55,000 (Dependant on experience)The Role:Help shape and build cutting-edge AI-powered products for a leading financial institution, working across the full technology stackDesign and develop robust, event-driven, API-first backend services alongside modern front-end interfacesBuild reusable components and libraries using contemporary frameworks to speed up delivery across teamsArchitect and deploy cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure or other major cloud platformsOptimise both frontend and backend for usability, performance, scalability and securityImplement strong data protection, authentication protocols and security best practices throughoutCollaborate closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, product managers, data scientists and data engineers to refine features and improve data qualityWrite unit, integration and end-to-end tests to safeguard code quality, while keeping pace with emerging tools and industry best practicesSkills Needed:5+ years' experience in product development, ideally within AI-driven productsStrong full-stack background across backend and/or frontend developmentHands-on experience with modern languages and frameworks such as Python, Rust, Go, React, Angular or Vue.jsProven ability to design and integrate secure, production-grade APIs, including versioning, observability (monitoring, tracing, logging) and modern authentication mechanismsPractical experience with containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)Exposure to AI/ML, GenAI or agentic frameworks (e.g. LangGraph, Microsoft Agent Framework) is a strong advantageFamiliarity with CI/CD, version control and deployment automation, plus a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related fieldResearch indicates that men will apply to a role when they meet only 50–60% of the requirements, while women and other underrepresented groups often look for a 90–100% match.
