Senior AI Solutions EngineerWaukegan, ILHybrid RoleABOUT THE ROLEBrooksource is seeking a Senior AI Solutions Engineer to lead the organization's AI and intelligent automation initiatives in Waukegan, IL. This highly visible, hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving business problems, working directly with stakeholders, and building impactful, production-ready AI solutions. You will partner with business teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven process improvement, design and deploy enterprise AI agents and workflow automation solutions, and act as a bridge between business and technical teams. This is not a research-focused AI role; success requires hands-on development, business process analysis, and the ability to deliver measurable business value. You will help shape the company’s AI strategy, drive AI adoption, and scale AI capabilities across the organization, all within a flexible work environment with very low turnover.WHAT YOU'LL DOMeet directly with business stakeholders and end users to understand current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and uncover opportunities for AI and intelligent automationGather functional and technical requirements through collaboration with end usersEvaluate business processes and determine when AI, Power Automate, RPA, or traditional automation is the most appropriate solutionDesign, develop, and deploy enterprise AI agents and workflow automation solutions into production environmentsBuild AI solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, and other Microsoft AI technologiesDevelop automation solutions using Power Automate and RPA toolsAct as the bridge between business teams and technical teams, translating operational challenges into scalable AI and automation solutionsSupport, monitor, and optimize AI and automation solutions after deploymentCollaborate with technical and business teams to drive enterprise AI adoptionDocument technical solutions, implementation approaches, and best practicesContribute to the company's long-term AI strategy and AI enablement roadmapWHAT YOU BRINGProfessional software engineering or software development backgroundExperience designing, building, and deploying AI solutions into production environmentsHands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, or similar Microsoft AI technologiesExperience developing workflow automation solutions using Power Automate and/or RPA technologiesExperience working directly with business stakeholders and gathering requirementsStrong understanding of enterprise application development, software architecture, and software development best practicesExcellent communication, consulting, and problem-solving skillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experienceFull stack development experience (preferred)Experience with prompt engineering and AI evaluation frameworks (preferred)Microsoft AI certifications (preferred)Experience implementing enterprise AI initiatives and intelligent automation programs (preferred)Experience helping organizations determine where AI versus traditional automation provides the greatest business value (preferred)WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOUOpportunity to help shape and influence the company's AI strategyHighly visible role with direct impact across the businessBlend of hands-on development and business partnership responsibilitiesFlexible work environment with very low turnoverOpportunity to build enterprise AI solutions from concept through production deploymentAbility to help establish and scale AI capabilities across the organization
