Senior AML Analyst (SME)

The Senior AML Analyst - Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Digital Assets & Trading Activity plays a critical role in strengthening IUX’s AML/KYC framework across our regulated jurisdictions. This role is ideal for an experienced AML professional with strong knowledge of digital assets, crypto transactions, trading activity monitoring, and transaction screening.You will work closely with the AML/KYC Manager, Compliance Analysts, and MLRO, serving as a technical authority for trading-related AML and virtual asset matters while supporting case reviews, transaction monitoring, audit remediation, and continuous improvement of AML procedures.What You'll Be Doing:Review and action Sumsub alerts and cases within agreed SLAs and escalation frameworks.Monitor client trading activity to identify AML red flags, including unusual patterns, structuring, and activity inconsistent with declared Source of Funds (SOF) or Source of Wealth (SOW).Conduct AML screening on digital asset transactions, wallet addresses, and counterparties using virtual asset-specific typologies.Act as the technical point of contact for the Sumsub KYT (Know Your Transaction) monitoring framework.Identify and flag potential governance, monitoring, or configuration gaps within the KYT framework.Draft and enhance AML/KYC SOPs, including Transaction Monitoring, EDD/ODD, KYT, and escalation matrices.Support audit remediation, regulatory requirements, and new-market onboarding initiatives.Liaise with L2/Senior Analysts and the MLRO on complex or high-risk case escalations.Provide guidance, coaching, and quality reviews to analysts handling digital asset and trading-related AML cases.Support the AML/KYC Manager with internal testing, audit responses, and remediation reporting.Take ownership of special AML projects and time-sensitive assignments as required.What We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, Risk Management, or a related discipline.Minimum 3–4 years of experience in AML/KYC, with direct exposure to digital assets/crypto, trading activity monitoring, and transaction screening.Hands-on experience with Sumsub or comparable KYC/KYT platforms such as Chainalysis Reactor, Arkham, or World-Check/LSEG.Solid working knowledge of AML/CFT regulatory frameworks across relevant jurisdictions, such as FSC Mauritius, ASIC, and FSCA.Demonstrated experience drafting or amending SOPs and other compliance documentation.Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to identify and clearly articulate suspicious trading patterns.Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with strong attention to detail.Ability to independently manage ad-hoc assignments and projects within deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving regulatory environment.Preferred Experience:Strong practical knowledge of AML typologies relating to crypto, digital assets, wallets, and trading activities.Experience conducting KYT or blockchain transaction monitoring and investigations.Experience supporting AML audits, remediation projects, or regulatory reviews.Exposure to AML/KYC requirements across multiple regulated jurisdictions.Experience coaching or providing quality assurance to AML/KYC analysts.Thai language proficiency is an advantage but not essential.Interview Process:Stage 1 – Initial Interview (HR Screening)Introduction, career background, communication skills, AML/KYC experience, and role alignment.Stage 2 – Technical InterviewDiscussion on AML investigations, digital assets, trading activity monitoring, transaction screening, Sumsub/KYT, and relevant regulatory knowledge.About IUXAt IUX, we are more than just a brokerage firm – we are a global fintech with a presence spanning Asia, MENA, and Latin America.
