You will be part of the KordaMentha team that is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Anti-money Laundering and Counter-terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) and Sanctions operations.We are particularly interested in candidates with practical experience in complex KYC/KYB reviews and/or Transaction Monitoring (TM) and Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD) investigations.Depending on your experience, you may work across a range of financial crime activities, including complex customer and entity reviews, transaction monitoring investigations, ECDD, screening and broader AML/CTF operational support.Key responsibilities may include:Conducting KYC/KYB reviews for complex customers and entity structures, including companies, trusts and other legal entitiesReviewing and assessing ownership and control structures, beneficial ownership and supporting documentationConducting Transaction Monitoring (TM) investigations, including reviewing transactional activity, identifying unusual or potentially suspicious behaviour and documenting investigation outcomesCompleting Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD) reviews for higher-risk customersConducting detailed customer risk assessments and financial crime investigationsIdentity verification and customer due diligence checksName screening, sanctions screening and adverse media screeningCustomer outreach and requests for additional information or documentationAssessing unusual activity reports (UARs) and supporting Suspicious Matter Report (SMR) lodgements where requiredQuality assurance activitiesGeneral AML/CTF operational supportYou will be working with a team of subject matter experts and will undergo our comprehensive training program, including potential opportunities to complete formal AML/CTF qualifications.QualificationsWe are looking for candidates who can demonstrate hands-on financial crime operations experience, particularly within complex KYC/KYB, Transaction Monitoring and/or ECDD investigations.Ideally, you will have:Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Financial Services, Accounting, Law or another relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience3+ years of relevant AML/CTF, KYC/KYB or financial crime operations experienceHands-on experience conducting complex KYC/KYB reviews, including reviewing complex legal entities, ownership structures and beneficial ownershipAnd/or hands-on experience conducting Transaction Monitoring and ECDD investigations, including analysing customer activity, identifying financial crime risk indicators and documenting investigation outcomesA good understanding of AML/CTF obligations and financial crime riskStrong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to interpret information from multiple sources and make well-reasoned decisionsHigh attention to detail and strong written documentation skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environmentAbility to act with discretion and maintain confidentialityStrong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skillsEffective stakeholder and relationship management skillsIntermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skillsWhat we’re looking forYou may be a good fit if you have worked in banking, financial services, fintech, payments, gaming/gambling or another regulated environment and have practical experience investigating customers, entities or transactional activity.We are particularly interested in applicants who can demonstrate experience in one or more of the following areas:Complex KYC/KYB and entity reviewsBeneficial ownership and complex ownership structuresTransaction Monitoring investigationsEnhanced Customer Due DiligenceCustomer risk assessmentsFinancial crime investigationsSanctions, PEP and adverse media screeningUAR/SMR assessment and escalationAdditional InformationIf this is the role for you, we want to hear from you.
