Senior Analyst/ Assistant Manager – Debt Capital Markets

Apply & track with Apply EdgeAs a Senior Analyst/ Assistant Manager in the Debt Capital Markets team, you will play a critical role in supporting the origination, structuring and execution of debt financing transactions and client debt advisory services in the bonds and sukuk space. You will work closely with the team and other stakeholders, both internal and external, to deliver end-to-end execution of debt capital market solutions. This role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:Support the team in the origination, structuring, and execution of debt capital market transactions including bonds and sukuk instruments.Conduct detailed financial analysis and credit assessment of prospective issuers.Prepare presentations, pitch books, credit approval memos and termsheets governing the debt market instruments.Review key documentation deliverables pertaining to the debt market instruments prepared by the external legal counsels.Coordinate with internal teams (legal, compliance, risk, agency, syndication fixed income, global market sales teams) and external parties (regulator, legal counsels, rating agencies, trustee, investors).Monitor market trends, credit & structural evolution and regulatory developments impacting debt capital markets.Participate in due diligence processes and ensure timely completion of transaction milestones.Manage and mentor junior analysts and associates, providing guidance and support.Contribute to business development efforts by identifying opportunities and participating in client meetings.Ensure adherence to internal policies, compliance requirements, and risk management protocols; and applicable external regulations (including BNM, Securities Commission Malaysia).Qualifications:Strong understanding of debt financing and credit analysis.Proficiency in financial modelling and credit assessment.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with senior clients and stakeholders.Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with financial databases (Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, etc.).Desired Attributes:Proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented.Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.High level of integrity and professionalism.Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
