MN8 is headquartered in New York with offices in Dallas, Boca Raton, and Madrid.Position Overview:The Senior Analyst, Finance Risk Management supports the organization’s financial risk management framework by analyzing, monitoring, and mitigating energy market, credit, and operational risks. This role plays a critical part in developing risk models, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external expectations, and providing analytical insights to support strategic decision-making.This position partners closely with finance, trading, and development teams to evaluate risk exposure across the company’s renewable energy portfolio and help drive disciplined, data-informed risk management practices.As the Senior Analyst, Finance Risk Management, you will:Support the identification, evaluation, mitigation, and monitoring of financial risks across the organization’s energy portfolioDevelop and maintain financial risk management tools and models to analyze market, credit, and operational risksMonitor adherence to risk management policies, limits, and strategies, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external expectationsAnalyze financial risks across business units and at the corporate level to inform decision-makingSupport the design and implementation of the organization’s risk management framework, including assessing financial impacts of identified risksEvaluate and enhance risk metrics and monitoring procedures related to transactional exposuresAssist in managing and maintaining the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systemApply analytical and statistical techniques to optimize market and credit risk strategies for portfoliosEstablish and maintain frameworks to track and value counterparty credit exposure and other key risk metricsEnsure risk and credit databases and systems are accurate, updated, and reliableProvide financial and credit analysis on counterparties to support transaction evaluationPartner with marketers, developers, and internal stakeholders to assess risk across renewable asset positionsPerform ad hoc data analysis and reporting to support evolving business needsSupport project management initiatives and broader team objectivesWhat We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative discipline required; MBA preferredMinimum 3 years of financial experience, including at least 1 year in energy risk management; relevant certifications are a plusStrong quantitative, analytical, and modeling capabilitiesExperience with energy trading and risk management systems (ETRM preferred)Experience analyzing large data sets and applying statistical techniquesProficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, SQL, or similar)Strong communication skills, both written and verbalProven ability to deliver results in a timely and high-quality mannerStrong business acumen with a service-oriented mindsetAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across stakeholdersCollaborative team player with a demonstrated hands-on approachHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsIntellectual curiosity and a continuous learning mindset, with the ability to incorporate best practices across industriesHow we set you up for success:At MN8, we know our most valuable resource is our people.
