Your expertise will directly support innovative projects and operational growth.Position OverviewThe Analytical Chemist supports research, development, and manufacturing activities by performing analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using a broad range of analytical techniques. This role generates accurate and reliable data, maintains laboratory instrumentation, assists with troubleshooting activities, and supports daily laboratory operations.Working within a team-oriented environment, the successful candidate will help advance projects through precise analytical work, problem-solving, and effective communication. Provides the opportunity to flex across the CMC disciplines, giving exposure to different verticals and working closely with chemists and engineers alike.Responsibilities include reaction monitoring, in-process testing, purity and impurity assessments, identification of unknown compounds and degradation products, and characterization of process intermediates and final products. The role requires strong analytical judgment, the ability to interpret complex results, and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and non-routine analytical testing utilizing techniques such as NMR, HPLC, GC, LC-MS, UV-Vis, Karl Fischer titration, and related instrumentation.Support process development, route evaluation, optimization, and scale-up activities through in-process control testing, reaction monitoring, and data analysis.Contribute analytical data to kinetic studies, design of experiments (DoE), and process safety initiatives.Generate accurate, reliable, and timely analytical results in support of technical projects.Document test methods, procedures, and results in accordance with internal requirements.Communicate analytical findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams.Assist with troubleshooting analytical methods, laboratory procedures, and instrumentation issues.Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure instruments remain qualified and operational.Support laboratory operations, organization, and continuous improvement efforts.Lead and take accountability for scientists, engineers, and manufacturing personnel to achieve project goals.QualificationsPh.D. with 1-2 years of experience, M.S. with 2-5 years of experience, B.S. with 5-7 years of experience in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related disciplinesApproximately 3-5 years of analytical laboratory experience in an industrial, manufacturing, research, or development environment (would consider internship and academic research).Strong laboratory and analytical problem-solving skills.Proficiency with standard computer applications and laboratory software systems.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Experience leading an R&D team or other scientists.Preferred Technical ExperienceHands-on experience with chromatographic, spectroscopic, and related analytical techniques.Experience using Chromatography Data Systems (CDS) and laboratory software platforms.Ability to communicate technical information effectively with stakeholders across multiple functions.Demonstrated commitment to data integrity, scientific rigor, and high-quality results.Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of performing in a fast-paced environment.Strong teamwork, collaboration, and continuous learning mindset.Preference for candidates from an R&D/CMC background over candidates from a QC/QA backgroundEmployment RequirementsAbility to satisfy applicable pre-employment screening requirements, which may include background verification, drug screening, and educational credential verification.Ability to complete required safety, quality, environmental, and operational training programs.Willingness to work within environments governed by chemical safety, hazardous materials handling, and emergency response procedures.Commitment to maintaining compliance with applicable company, regulatory, and safety requirements.
