Senior Android Developer

Android DeveloperWe are seeking an experienced Android Developer to build and enhance high-performance mobile applications with a focus on secure video streaming and Digital Rights Management (DRM). This is an onsite position in Chicago.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimize Android applications for secure video streaming.Implement DRM technologies such as Widevine to protect digital content.Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences.Troubleshoot complex Android, media, and performance issues.Optimize media rendering, UI performance, and application scalability.Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.Integrate RESTful and WebSocket APIs and support cloud-based services.Manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.RequirementsStrong Android development experience with Java and Kotlin.Experience supporting current and legacy Android versions.Strong knowledge of Android media frameworks, graphics, and architecture patterns such as MVVM/MVP.Experience with DRM, secure storage, encryption, and application security.Understanding of networking, APIs, and Android event/input handling.Experience with Git and cloud services such as AWS.Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
