We work closely with Shopify and in the last 7 years have developed a truly global portfolio of clients including Motel Rocks, BABYBOO, Toteme, Astrid & Miyu, Cole Buxton and ANINE BING and various other international retailers in the US, EU and Australia.The roleSenior Android Developers at Venn Apps are responsible for our core Kotlin codebase that allows us to spin up e-commerce apps at scale. We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our team and take our existing portfolio of Android apps to the next level while also creating apps for new clients.You will be working closely with our in-house design team and in charge of everything Android – from creating brand new apps to refreshing the look and feel or adding new features to our existing apps.All of our apps are written in clean, modern Kotlin and built with Jetpack Compose (Material 3) for the UI. They follow a modularised architecture and use dependency injection with Hilt (Dagger). Asynchronous work is handled primarily with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow, and networking uses Retrofit and OkHttp with kotlinx.serialization. We rely on Firebase, Room and Jetpack DataStore for persistence, Sentry for crash reporting, and integrate a wide range of 3rd party providers on a client-by-client basis. Our apps are white-label, built from a single codebase.
