Our platform provides users with tailored programs for Metabolic, Gut, and Women’s Health issues.We are also opening multiple Integrative Diabetes Centers focused on addressing the root cause of diabetes through an integrative approach, combining Ayurveda, modern science, technology, and personalized health insights.About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Android Developer who can take ownership of Android application development from frontend to backend integration and development.You will work closely with our product, design, AI, clinical, and engineering teams to build scalable, secure, high-performance mobile applications. The ideal candidate should be comfortable developing Android applications as well as working with APIs, backend services, databases, authentication, and cloud-based systems.You will play a key role in architecture decisions, feature development, performance optimization, testing, debugging, and taking products from concept to production.What You’ll DoAndroid / Frontend DevelopmentDesign, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin/Java.Build modern and responsive user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and Android UI components.Implement scalable and maintainable application architecture such as MVVM/Clean Architecture.Integrate REST APIs and third-party services into Android applications.Implement authentication, push notifications, analytics, deep linking, and other mobile features.Optimize application performance, responsiveness, battery usage, and memory management.Ensure compatibility across different Android devices and OS versions.Backend Development & IntegrationDevelop and maintain backend services and APIs required for Android applications.Familiarity with AWS Backend.Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend business logic.Work with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.Handle user authentication, authorization, data validation, and secure data communication.Integrate mobile applications with cloud services and backend infrastructure.Collaborate with AI/data teams to integrate intelligent health and wellness features into the application.Troubleshoot and optimize backend performance and API response times.Testing & QualityWrite unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure application reliability.Work with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Espresso, or equivalent tools.Identify, debug, and resolve application and API-related issues.Conduct code reviews and maintain high coding and quality standards.Monitor production issues and provide timely fixes.Collaboration & Technical OwnershipWork closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, AI engineers, clinical teams, and other developers.Translate product requirements and designs into scalable technical solutionsParticipate in technical discussions, architecture decisions, and product brainstorming.Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.Take ownership of features from requirement gathering through development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.Contribute to improving development processes, coding standards, and engineering practices.What We’re Looking For2-3 years of professional experience in Android development.Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.Strong Knowledge of AWS Backend.Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack, and Jetpack Compose.Experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, dependency injection, and modular application design.Strong experience in REST APIs, JSON, API integration, and backend communication.Hands-on experience with backend development using technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, or similar.Good knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.Experience with Git and version control systems.Knowledge of authentication, authorization, API security, and secure data handling.Experience with unit testing, UI testing, debugging, and performance optimization.Understanding of CI/CD and application deployment processes.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical deliverables.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Good to HaveExperience with Firebase, AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms.Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.Knowledge of GraphQL, WebSockets, or real-time communication.Experience integrating AI/ML APIs or data-driven features into mobile applications.Experience working with health-tech, wellness, healthcare, or similar products.Experience publishing and maintaining applications on the Google Play Store.Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.Why Join Ayur.AIWork on an innovative product combining AI, Ayurveda, modern science, and personalized healthcare.Take ownership of impactful products used in real-world health and wellness applications.Work closely with experienced technical, clinical, and product teams.Opportunity to work across mobile, backend, AI, and healthcare technology.Fast-paced, collaborative, and impact-driven startup environment.Opportunity to contribute to architecture and technology decisions.Learn and work with emerging technologies while solving meaningful healthcare problems.
