Employment Type: Full-timeCompensation: $200,000–$250,000 base salary + meaningful equityA high-growth, venture-backed consumer technology company is hiring a Senior Android Engineer to join a small, high-impact mobile team.The company builds a connected consumer platform spanning hardware, mobile software, AI, and data-driven experiences.

It is entering a major growth phase, investing heavily in new product development, research and development, clinical validation, artificial intelligence, and international expansion.This is an opportunity to take real ownership of a flagship native Android application at an inflection point for the business. The Android team is currently lean, giving this engineer meaningful influence over product direction, technical decisions, architecture, and the customer experience as the organization scales.What You’ll DoBuild, ship, and maintain polished, high-quality consumer-facing features for a native Android application.Collaborate closely with product, design, backend, hardware, data, and AI teams to deliver integrated user experiences.Help define and evolve the Android application architecture, engineering standards, testing strategy, and development processes.Develop performant, scalable, reliable, and maintainable mobile experiences used by a growing global customer base.Drive technical decisions around application structure, state management, UI development, and feature delivery.Identify opportunities to improve app performance, stability, usability, and overall customer experience.Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, planning, and rapid iteration within a fast-moving product organization.Take end-to-end ownership of features, from technical design through production release and ongoing improvement.Required QualificationsSignificant professional experience building and shipping native Android applications for consumer-facing products.Strong hands-on proficiency with Kotlin.Experience developing modern Android interfaces using Jetpack Compose.Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, including MVVM and/or MVI patterns.Experience delivering production-quality features with attention to performance, reliability, testing, and maintainability.Ability to work independently, make sound engineering decisions, and operate effectively in a high-ownership environment.Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating across product, design, engineering, and business stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsExperience working on a consumer subscription, connected-device, health/wellness, fitness, AI, or data-driven mobile product.Experience integrating mobile applications with hardware, Bluetooth-connected devices, APIs, sensors, or real-time data.Familiarity with experimentation, analytics, feature flags, A/B testing, or mobile performance monitoring.Experience working in a startup or high-growth company where priorities move quickly and engineers have broad ownership.Interest in AI-enabled consumer products and personalized user experiences.
