The ideal candidate will architect, build, and optimize new features while collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering teams to maintain high standards of code quality and mobile performance.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, enhance, and troubleshoot native Android applications in an Agile environmentImplement complex features and functionality across the applicationCollaborate with developers, designers, and business stakeholdersParticipate in code reviews and architecture discussionsIdentify and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issuesMaintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and testingContribute to continuous improvement and technical excellenceQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience5–7 years of experience building and maintaining large-scale Android applicationsDeep knowledge of Kotlin and Kotlin CoroutinesHands-on experience with Android Architecture Components, MVVM, and Jetpack ComposeStrong experience using AI tooling throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)Excellent Object-Oriented (OO) design and development skillsStrong understanding of asynchronous programming and concurrency on AndroidExperience with unit testing and UI testing frameworksProven experience in application architecture, design, coding, and debuggingExperience with enterprise-level branching/merging workflows using JenkinsStrong understanding of mobile performance, latency, and securityExperience using performance analysis toolsKnowledge of mobile technologies, wireless network architecture, information security, and current technology trendsPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with Room, Dagger, and other commonly used Android librariesExperience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deploymentExperience mentoring junior engineers or leading small development teamsOpen-source contributions or active participation in the Android developer community
