Senior Angular Architect / Front-End Architect📍 Location: DMV Area – Hybrid💼 Experience: 13+ Years🔎 Background Check: RequiredJob OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Angular Architect / Front-End Architect with strong experience building and architecting enterprise-scale web applications.The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise with Angular and TypeScript and experience providing technical direction, designing scalable front-end solutions, modernizing applications, and mentoring engineering teams.This is a hands-on architecture position where you will be expected to design solutions while remaining involved in development and code reviews.ResponsibilitiesOwn and define the architecture for modern Angular applications.Design application structure, reusable components, routing, and state management.Develop scalable, maintainable, secure, and high-performing front-end applications.Lead Angular upgrades, migrations, and legacy application modernization.Build and maintain reusable component libraries and design systems.Integrate applications with REST and/or GraphQL APIs.Establish standards for performance, accessibility, security, testing, and code quality.Troubleshoot complex front-end and performance issues.Conduct architecture and code reviews.Mentor developers and provide technical leadership.Collaborate with UI/UX, backend, cloud, data, and product teams.Participate in technical planning, estimation, solution design, and customer discussions.Required Skills10+ years of professional software engineering experience.Strong hands-on experience with Angular and TypeScript.Strong understanding of modern Angular architecture.Experience with RxJS and state management such as NgRx or similar.Experience designing scalable front-end architectures.Experience with Angular migration, upgrades, or legacy modernization.Experience developing reusable components, shared UI libraries, or design systems.Strong HTML, CSS, and responsive web development skills.Experience with REST APIs and/or GraphQL.Experience with front-end testing and quality practices.Strong understanding of performance, security, and accessibility.Experience mentoring engineers and leading code reviews.Preferred SkillsReact / Next.jsAngular Signals / Standalone ComponentsNx / MonorepoMicro-frontendsJest / Jasmine / KarmaCypress / PlaywrightAWS / AzureWCAG / Section 508Public-sector / Government / SLED / Higher Education experienceCustomer-facing technical consulting experience
