Job TitleSenior Application Developer – Legacy .NET FrameworkLocationBirmingham, UKJob TypeFTEWork ModeHybridExperience Required5 to 8 years of experience in ASP.NET MVC Framework application development or application support.ResponsibilitiesEnhancement of applications developed using: ASP.NET MVC Framework, .NET Framework, Razor Pages, jQuery and SQL ServerAnalyse, design, development and unit testing for minor changes, technical debts and application defects.Work across the presentation, business, data-access layers and database.Investigate application logs, stack traces, database issues, and integration failures.Support REST-based integrations and troubleshoot API-related issues.Collaborate with support, database, infrastructure, and business teams.Participate in agile ceremonies as part of the development methodologiesExperience working in Scrum and Kanban teamsPrepare technical documentation, knowledge articles and support procedures.Required SkillsStrong experience with ASP.NET MVC Framework.Strong experience of development using jQuery, SQL Server and Razor Pages / Razor-based viewsGood experience with .NET FrameworkStrong knowledge of: C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScriptStrong experience of working in agile teamsExpertise in using tools like Jira or ADOUnderstanding of MVC architecture, session management, authentication, and authorization.Expertise in SQL and relational databases.Experience with debugging tools, application logs, and performance analysis.Desired SkillsGood understanding of Insurance domain.Familiarity with Knockout.js.REST and SOAP web services.IIS administration and deployment troubleshooting.Entity Framework or equivalent ORM technology.Windows services and scheduled jobs.Azure DevOps, TFS, or similar source-control and deployment tools.Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or equivalent.Familiarity with Angular.QualificationsGood understanding of Scrum and Kanban process with experience working in agile teams
