Senior Application Specialist

JOB PURPOSESupport the Clinical Applications Manager in implementing, maintaining, and improving hospital informationsystems and related applications.Provide senior-level support, coordinate projects and integrations, and enable safe, efficient clinical and operational workflows across the hospital and associated facilities.

Department: Information Technology – Applications Division.Reports to: Clinical Applications Manager.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES1.

Application Management and Support: Configure, maintain, and support the HIS, EMR, and related clinical, administrative, and financialapplications. Demonstrated hands-on experience in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is essential, including identifyingworkflow gaps and business requirements, defining detailed functional scopes, translating requirements fordevelopment teams, leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and delivering end-user training. Provide second-level support, investigate recurring issues, and coordinate resolution with vendors,developers, and technical teams. Prioritize incidents by patient safety, operational/financial impact, and service levels; document resolutionsand close tickets promptly. Participate in scheduled on-call and after-hours support as required.2. Project Implementation and Coordination: Coordinate application implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and deployments. Gather requirements; prepare scope documents, specifications, workflows, and implementation plans. Track deliverables, risks, and dependencies; support migration validation, go-live readiness, and operationalhandover.3. Integration and Interoperability: Coordinate HIS interfaces with laboratory equipment, imaging, finance, supply chain, insurance, and otherhealthcare systems. Support health information exchange and government portal integrations; validate mappings andworkflows, investigateJOB REQUIREMENTSkills and Abilities: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills. Working knowledge of Oracle SQL, reporting tools, healthcare interfaces, and data validation. Understanding of access controls, change management, information security, and business continuity.Experience: Minimum 05 - 07 years in HIS implementation and support, including HOSPITAL workflows, configuration,integrations, testing, training, and project coordination.Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related discipline.Language: Fluent spoken and written English, with strong communication skills.Licenses / Certifications: Relevant healthcare IT, service management, project management, database, or business intelligence certifications are desirable.
